- Camera Access: Used only to capture Petri-dish images for colony detection. Images are processed on device unless you explicitly choose to save or sync them.
- Account Data: If you sign in, we collect your email to authenticate you and save preferences/results you choose to store.
- Device & App Diagnostics: Non-identifying technical data (e.g., device model, OS version, crash logs) to improve performance and stability.
How We Use Your Information
- Provide core functionality (colony counting and result display).
- Sync results/settings across devices when you’re signed in.
- Improve accuracy, performance, and reliability.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may use trusted processors (e.g., Firebase, Supabase) for authentication, storage, and analytics consistent with this policy.
Your Choices & Rights
- Access or delete your account and data by emailing salmajaoua@gmail.com.
- Withdraw consent by signing out and uninstalling the app. You can also request deletion of server-stored data.
Children’s Privacy
BactCounter is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
